Local law enforcement invite all to Saturday's Community Picnic

NORWICH – As a way of saying thank you to the residents of Chenango County and the City of Norwich, the Chenango County Law Enforcement Association (LEA) and the Norwich Police Benevolent Association (PBA) are inviting locals to a Community Picnic this Saturday, August 5 at Kurt Beyer Park.


From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. residents of Chenango County will have an opportunity to meet local law enforcement members over free hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, and yogurt––while supplies last.

“Our law enforcement union decided after last year's “Shop with a Sheriff” that it would be fun to have a summer event involving the sheriff's deputies, Norwich officers, and the public as a way to have more positive interaction,” said Chenango County Sheriff Lieutenant Richard Cobb.


The event will also feature fun, kid friendly games and law enforcement demonstrations.
