S-E falls short to Herkimer

HERKIMER – Coming off a tough loss to an unbeaten Cooperstown, the Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves boys basketball team traveled to Herkimer, where they took on the number one team in their division.
S-E battled and even had a halftime lead, but fell short in the second half and lost 43-36.
S-E took a brief 20-14 lead at the break, but were held to single-digits in the second half, while the Magicians picked up the pace to secure the victory.
Nick Hull led S-E with 15 points, including two threes. Brayden O’Hara finished with 10 points as Isaac Porchea added six. Parker Goedel hit a three as Garret Winton chipped in two points in the loss.
S-E (5-9) sits seventh in the CSC Division I standings and look to snap a three-game skid as they host Clinton on Monday at 7 p.m.
