Oxford softball stays unbeaten with a big win over W/D

OXFORD— The Oxford Blackhawks softball team is on a roll as they picked up their fifth win of the season in a big 16-1 victory over Walton/Downsville.
Oxford only allowed the Crush to score its lone run in the top of the first and held them to just one hit in the contest.
The Blackhawks scored 16 runs on six hits with Lily Marshman leading the way with two hits and a team-high four RBIs.
Paizleigh Timke also had two hits, including a double, and an RBI while Abby Stone and Reagan Long also had RBIs as Emmalee Reiss doubled in the win.
Cora Hodge worked a five-inning complete game, allowing just the one unearned run on one hit, no walks, and struck out 10 batters.
Oxford (5-0) heads to Unatego on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
