NORWICH— The Norwich Purple Tornado track and field team hosted Windsor in a small STAC meet at Norwich High School. Both the Norwich girls and boys picked up wins in the meet.

Girls’ Track:

The Norwich girls’ track and field team defeated Windsor 90-26 on Wednesday afternoon.

Bella Shepard won the 100 m hurdles in 23.40 seconds as Norwich’s 4x800 relay team of Natalie Phillips, Malea Sutton, Kali Wright, and Hagenbuch won with a time of 13:53.

Layla Root, Reagan Decker, Tristan Monroe, and Mckenzie Hagenbuch won the 4x100 relay with a time of 56 seconds.

Monroe won the 400 meter run in a time of 1:18 as Natalie Phillips earned the victory in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:37. Hagenbuch ran the 800 meter run in 2:43.

Phillips also won the 3000 meter run with a time of 14 minutes and threw for a top 27 feet, one inch in the shot put event.
