NHS baseball falls to Windsor in game two
NORWICH — The Norwich Purple Tornado baseball team took on Windsor in game two of a three-game series on Wednesday night at home. Norwich fell 9-4.
Norwich took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI single by Zac Turner.
However, Windsor went ahead and scored six runs in the top of the second.
Both teams scored three runs within the sixth and seventh innings.
Norwich scored four runs on six hits.
Noah Eddy led the team with two hits and reached on a walk as Collin Reid (two RBIs), Turner, Zack Parker, and Joey Parker each had one hit in the loss.
Zack Parker went four and a third for Norwich on the mound, allowing six runs (five earned) on four hits, seven walks, and three strikeouts.
Noah Eddy finished off in relief, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits, five walks, and two strikeouts.
Norwich (2-9) finish off the series with Windsor, where the Purple Tornado look to avoid to sweep on Friday at 5 p.m.
