B-G honors seniors in big win over UV

BAINBRIDGE— The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team hosted Unadilla Valley on senior night Monday, where the Bobcats honored its class of 2026 with a big 18-4 victory.
Congratulations to Aidan Haynes, Parker Buttice, Jaxson McGraw, Isaiah Hampton, Brayden Swartwout, and Connor Davy.
Connor Davy had a big day at the plate on his senior night as he drove in five runs on three hits, including an inside the park home run, which scored three runs before adding an RBI single and RBI double as well.
B-G had a big 12-run third inning, which included Davy’s home run. Buttice had an RBI single, Micah Casey had a groundout RBI, Davis Barnard, Jaxson McGraw (two RBIs), and Brayden Swartwout all had RBI singles. Anthony Cafasso drove in two runs on a double.
UV scored two runs in the second and two in the top of the fourth inning. In the second, a run came home on a bases loaded walk and then one on a wild pitch. Zayne Dibbell drove in a run with a single to center field to bring home a run in the fourth before scoring on a wild pitch.
Anthony Cafasso, Parker Buttice, Aidan Haynes, Isaiah Hampton, and Brayden Swartwout each pitched for the Bobcats in the contest, where they combined for a one-hitter, allowing four earned runs, seven walks, and 10 strikeouts.
Zayne Dibbell, Nolan Lewis, Declan Potter, and Nick Crandall pitched for the Storm, combining for 18 runs (eight earned) on 11 hits, seven walks, and five strikeouts.
B-G improves to 9-2 on the season and hosts Deposit-Hancock this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. while UV (0-8) heads to Greene to face Oxford-Greene on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
