HORSEHEADS— After a strong first round of making the cut, Norwich’s Brevin Bennett and Matthew Brunick returned to Mark Twain for the second and final day of the Section IV golf medalist tournament. Bennett, who led after the first day with a 75 (+3) on Wednesday, kept the lead to win the tournament and qualify for states! The eighth grader stayed even to finish with a +3.
Sophomore Matthew Brunick tied for 10th, which missed the top nine cut for qualifying, finishing with a score of +21, after shooting a +15 on the final day.
Congratulations, Brevin and Matthew.
