NORWICH — NBT Bank and Norwich High School today celebrated the opening of the school's new onsite banking location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Norwich CSD Financial Services Center Provided by NBT Bank is a full-service banking location available exclusively to students, faculty and staff of Norwich High School.

Located within the high school, the financial center is designed to provide convenient access to banking services while creating hands-on learning opportunities that help students build financial knowledge and workplace skills.

“The Norwich CSD Financial Services Center is an exciting addition for our students, faculty and staff,” said Scott Ryan, Superintendent of Norwich City School District. “This partnership enhances the educational experience by giving students practical exposure to financial services and professional environments. It's another way we're helping students connect what they learn in the classroom to opportunities beyond graduation.”

The financial center will be open two days per week and will be staffed by a full-time NBT Bank employee alongside a student associate, also employed by NBT Bank. The location is not open to the public and is intended solely for use by Norwich High School students, faculty and staff.

In addition to providing banking services, the project includes several features designed to support financial literacy and career exploration. An adjoining Literacy Lab will serve as a space for financial education programming, while a Wall of Fame will highlight Norwich High School graduates who have gone on to careers at NBT Bank, demonstrating potential career pathways available to students.

A new ATM will also be installed near the school's gymnasium, providing convenient access to banking services for the school community during school events.
