OXFORD - Pumpkin Shell Nursery School will host its second annual Parent-Child Golf Tournament on Sunday, June 14, with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. at Bluestone Golf Course in Oxford.

The event brings families together for a day on the course while raising funds for the school's programs, with proceeds going directly toward the early childhood education that has made Pumpkin Shell an important part of community.

This exciting event will bring families together for a fun day on the greens while raising important funds to support the school’s programs.

The tournament is a nine-hole, captain-and-mate format open to all ages, from 4 to 94. Entry is $60 per team if both golfers are non-members, $50 if one golfer is a member and $40 if both are members. Organizers encourage participants to play alongside their children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren or friends.

Attendees can also take part in raffles featuring gift baskets donated by Pumpkin Shell and the families, Ye Old Shanty of Oxford, Kutik's Everything Bees, Peila View Farm, Lindy's Ice Cream, Wilcox's Maple Syrup, Sweet Pea Craft Kits, Mix Bakery and other local supporters.

This year's hole sponsors include Nina's Pizzeria and Restaurant, The Stadium Sports Bar and Grill, Bartle's Pharmacy, Kutik's Everything Bees, Oxford Motors, Bull Thistle Bridal, Third Day Tees Print Shop, Wilson's Funeral Home, Farrow & Locke CPA Associates, Blueox Energy, Shirley Cobb Photography, C and J Lawn Care, Palmer's Real Estate, Roma Pizzeria & Restaurant, NBT Bank, Magro's Norwich, Joe and Vinny's Pizzeria of Oxford and the Oxford Fire Department.
