Bainbridge Bolts and Delhi battle to a 14-14 tie

BAINBRIDGE— The Bainbridge Bolts and The Delhi Post 190 PONY league teams battled to a 14-14 tie on Monday in a back-and-forth game.

Delhi finished with 14 runs on 13 hits, while Bainbridge responded with 14 runs on nine hits. Both teams stayed aggressive throughout the whole game, scoring in every inning, keeping the game intense with neither team pulling away for the victory.

Frank Parsons helped lead the Bainbridge offense going 2 for 3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Anthony Cafasso scored three runs and added an RBI while Cullen Benjamin recorded a run and crossed the plate once. Brayden Wehrli also added an RBI and Cole Keuhn contributed a hit, a run scored, as well as an RBI.

Bainbridge also made things special on the bases. The team recorded multiple stolen bases with Mason Acquisto and Mason Sherwood tallying three each.

On the mound, Cole Keuhn got the start, going three innings, allowing four hits on seven runs (one earned) while recording two strikeouts and six walks. Wehrli pitched two innings in relief, allowing nine hits on seven runs (six earned), and recording two strikeouts.

Defensively, the Bolts were charged with four errors while Delhi committed just one. This strong defense from Delhi is what made the game close. Still, the Bolts showed passion matching run for run and battling it out. Bainbridge (1-3-1) looks to get it done when they host Deposit on Thursday at 6 p.m.
