SOUTH KORTRIGHT — The Unadilla Valley Storm PONY league team traveled to take on the South Kortright/Stamford summer team on Monday night, falling 8-2.

The Storm got on the board in the top of the first as Kasen Cox singled to lead off the inning. Reed Osborne and Teagin Eccleston both walked.

Before Eccleston got on base, Cox scored on an error for the Storm's lone run.

UV scored the one run on three hits with Cox paving the way with two hits while Nick Crandall had a double.

Eccleston got the start on the mound, going two innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits, two walks, and struck out two batters.

Cox and Crandall pitched in relief in the loss.

UV (4-4) plays a doubleheader against Walton/Downsville on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
