COOPERSTOWN — Oxford Pony baseball team put up a good battle but came up short against a strong Cooperstown Pony squad in the high-scoring game that favored Cooperstown 13-6.

The game featured plenty of action, with Oxford showing sparks of great offense throughout but struggling to contain Cooperstown’s Offense.

Alarik Davenport led Oxford at the plate, going 2 for 3 with a run scored, an RBI, and a walk. He constantly stayed a threat to the opposition. Several other Oxford batters recorded hits, including Eddie Ingraham, Josh Knapp, Evan Johnson, Joey Locke, Noah Bush, and Bodie Barrows.

Oxford finished with four hits and four RBIs as a team, showing contact but struggling to bring in the runs.

Uri Tracy started on the mound, allowing one run on three hits, no walks, and struck out three batters. Ingraham, Davenport, Knapp, and Johnson each worked in relief.
