GREENE — Chenango River Theatre’s production of The Last Five Years runs July 31 through August 23.  Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. Cathy, a struggling actress, and Jamie, an aspiring novelist, relive their relationship in opposite directions; Cathy, from the end to the beginning, Jamie from the beginning to the bitter end. This brilliant and intimate musical is a portrait of all that is familiar about our first serious relationships; from the giddy hopes of young lovers, through the shared dreams of newlyweds, and the fragile heartaches when it all falls apart. Jason Robert Brown’s stunning book and score is nothing short of brilliant and our production showcases two remarkable talents in Dayna Palya* and Noah Schuster*.

“Provocative and beautiful,” says the New York Daily News
