EARLVILLE – While most village officials are unsure exactly when the tradition ended, it has been several years since the sounds of music rang out from the park in the center of Earlville. This year, with the support of Clippinger Sporing Law, that is about to change.

Earlville’s Music in the Park is returning tonight, Aug. 4, with a performance from the Liuzzos. Hailing from South Otselic, the father-son duo will kick off Earlville’s newest summer concert series, taking place every Tuesday in August, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Currently there are four musical performances scheduled as part of the music in the park series. “We wanted to bring a vibrant community event to Earlville–similar to the wonderful traditions our neighboring towns host–to connect with our neighbors and show our support to the community,” said Mary Alyce Sporing of Clippinger Sporing Law.

Other summer performers include Evan Walsh and Friends, Melissa G. Clark and the Rusty Pickup Band.

Earlville Mayor Tom Taylor said while he is unsure how long it has been since the last Music in the Park performance, he knows it has not happened in many years because the village did not have someone to manage scheduling the performers and managing the logistics.

“Clippinger Law and Toni Carpenter have been instrumental to getting this going.” Taylor said. “We are very excited to see it get rolling again.” Taylor said.

Clippinger Sporing Law has had an office in Earlville since November of 2025.

“Growing up in Smyrna, I fondly remember the Monday night band concerts, and my parents were heavily involved in Sherburne’s Rotary Music in the Park. Many of my favorite childhood memories came from those gatherings,” said Sporing. “When I moved back in 2020, community events were practically nonexistent due to the pandemic, making it tough to build those local connections. Sponsoring a free event like this is my way of helping create an inviting public space where everyone can gather and reconnect.”

Earlville’s Music in the Park series is free and open to the public.

Performances will be held at the Village Park and Gazebo located in front of the Village Office.

“I hope it’s a welcoming, inclusive event where everyone in Earlville can come together, enjoy some great music, and celebrate the end of summer,” said Sporing.
