NORWICH - New York State Police will host a free child passenger car seat check from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at the State Police barracks, 5354 state Route 12, Norwich.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will inspect car seats, check installations and answer questions.

No appointment is required, but appointments are encouraged by calling Troop C Traffic at 607-561-7400.

Parents and caregivers should bring the child, if possible, along with the car seat manual and vehicle manual.
