OXFORD — 6 On The Square, Oxford’s nonprofit acoustic listening room, continues its 20th season with The Clements Brothers at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26.

George and Charles Clements, identical twins from New England, have been playing and writing music together for as long as they can remember. They previously performed in the internationally touring grassroots band The Lonely Heartstring Band, with whom they put out two albums on Rounder Records. With roots, rock, bluegrass, jazz, and classical influences, George (on guitar) and Charles (on bass) aim to capture their singer-songwriter sensibilities in a unique blended voice.

Their first album, “Dandelion Breeze,” was released in 2023 on Plow Man Records; their sophomore record, “Breathing Room,” is set to be released this fall.

The duo is a fusion of each brother's unique musical journey, and the result is music all its own, filled with vocal harmonies, instrumental virtuosity, and a genuine love of song.

6 On The Square, Inc. is an intimate, not-for-profit, volunteer-based acoustic music listening room and arts venue located at 6 Lafayette Park in downtown Oxford. On exhibit through November are paintings of people and places — real and imagined — by Afton artist Christopher L. Wright.

Wright attended the Pratt Institute in New York City, and his primary medium is oil paint. His work has been shown at several establishments in the region, such as the Main Street Bakery & Grill in Afton and Cyber Cafe West in Binghamton.
