GREENE — The Greene Trojans girls’ soccer team celebrated senior night on Monday prior to the kickoff against Afton/Harpursville. Congratulations to Melana Gregware, Caitlin Walls, Lexi Cloyd, and Joyce Coston. Greene also recognized Afton/Harpursville’s seniors Jenna Wilson, Ariana Florance, and Abbey Paoletti.

Greene honored its seniors with a 8-0 shutout victory, maintaining possession throughout the contest and being shot savvy on the night.

Caitlin Walls and Lexi Cloyd both led the seniors with one goal each while Ella Beach led the team with two goals and Walls and Beach each dished out an assist. Khloe Waltz had one goal and a team-high two assists on the night. Ali Fisher, with great ball movement throughout the contest, had a goal and an assist. Miah Cragle and Hailey Butler also scored while Clare Tompkins picked up an assist.

Afton/Harpursville had to stand their ground defensively, having a better second half, allowing just one goal after the break. A/H also saw good touches by Adaleigh Steinbrecher and Aisley Ruff in the loss.
