OXFORD — The Oxford Blackhawks girls’ soccer team welcomed neighbors Greene for a MAC matchup at Oxford on Thursday. Greene won the contest with a 3-0 shutout victory.

Miah Cragle, Ella Beach, and Caitlin Walls each scored for the Trojans as Hailey Butler dished out two assists.

While her team faced a tough deficit, Oxford Coach Rachel Seiler had positive remarks about her girls.

“The girls played a much stronger game against a young, talented Greene team,” Seiler said. “They had great effort, communication, and determination throughout. They battled hard, created opportunities, and showed continued growth as a team. I’m proud of their effort.”

Greene remains unbeaten in MAC play at 4-0 and in second place in the standings. The Trojans are 7-2 overall. Greene hosts Dryden on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

Oxford is even at 4-4 and will hosts Sidney for senior night on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
