OXFORD — The Oxford Blackhawks girls’ soccer team hosted Sidney on Monday for senior night. Congratulations to Ellie Beadle, Jayne Fleury, Jenna Denz, Reese Tefft, Arielle Ross, Deana Ferreira, Kayla Knapp, Paige Rickard, and Aubrey Rickard.

Oxford fell 1-0 to Sidney in overtime in the tough MAC league contest.

“The girls played with incredible heart tonight. Our defense was outstanding with everyone hustling back and marking up consistently,” Coach Rachel Seiler said. “While we couldn’t quite find the back of the net, despite creating multiple opportunities and taking plenty of shots, I am so proud of their effort. We’ll keep pushing and look to finish those chances in our next game.”

Oxford (4-6) heads to Bainbridge-Guilford on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
