S-E volleyball falls to Westmoreland

SHERBURNE – On Monday morning, the Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves volleyball team hosted Westmoreland in a CSC league matchup. S-E fought hard, but dropped all three sets by scores of 26-24, 25-17, and 25-19. Westmoreland picked up the sweep with both match wins.
There were several ties and lead changes, especially in the final set, where S-E held a good lead for most of it, but Westmoreland tied it at 17 and went on to win after that.
S-E was led by Phiona Osborne with 12 assists and an ace, Maya Tarpinian had two digs and an ace while Evelyn Thomas made four blocks.
Cassandra Slater had two blocks, one assist, and nine service points as Adia Graham had six digs and an ace and Kadyn Babcock added two aces as well.
Zoey Mattot had four service points while Kari Lagoe contributed with 13 service points and five digs. Lydia Dulina and Gabby Tomsic both had two digs and three service points while Dulina also had an assist. Emma Chapman finished with three digs, five service points, and an assist.
S-E (3-8) hosts Clinton on Thursday at 7 p.m. where the Timberwolves look to go 2-0 against the Comets this season.
