Oxford girls fall to Unatego

UNATEGO – After a close game against Greene nearly a week ago, the Oxford Blackhawks girls basketball team traveled to Unatego for another tough league matchup on Wednesday. Oxford fell 52-35.
The Blackhawks were limited in the first half as they were held to eight points. Unatego took a 27-8 lead at the break. Oxford got back on track in the second half, but could not stop the Spartans, who stayed consistent.

Abby Denz and Margaret Rovente chipped in four points apiece while Emmalee Reiss hit a three in the third quarter. Jenna Denz and Olivia Oliver both had two points off the bench.
Oxford (8-6) looks to snap a three-game skid as they head to Bainbridge-Guilford on Friday at 7:15 p.m. , which concludes a three-game road trip.
Scores by quarter:
OX 4 4 14 13—35
