Norwich softball earns first win of season in 1-0 shutout at CV

BINGHAMTON—The Norwich Purple Tornado softball team traveled to take on STAC league opponent Chenango Valley on Monday evening. All it took was one run for Norwich to come away with the victory in a 1-0 shutout victory.

It was also Norwich's first win of the season.

Loralee Brown had all three of Norwich's hits on the day and scored on a wild pitch in the top of the second inning and also had two stolen bases.

Carolyn Wright reached base on a walk and Abigail Telesky reached base on a hit by pitch.

Kira Quattrocchi pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just seven hits, three walks, and struck out five batters.

Norwich (1-4-1) head to play non-league opponent Harpursville on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
