NORWICH – Norwich boys golf opened its season in dominant fashion Wednesday, Aug.26, cruising to a 212-269 victory over Susquehanna Valley at Canasawacta Golf Course.

The Purple Tornadoes were led by a pair of even-par rounds, as Brevin Bennett and Matthew Brunick each recorded a 36 on the par 36 course to pace Norwich.

Charlie Smith and Payne Skillin each finished with a 46, while Kinnon Bennett carded a 48 and Dean Westervelt posted a 52 for Norwich.

Norwich’s two 36’s highlighted an impressive start to the season, with Brevin Bennett and Brunick finishing the opening round at even par.

The Purple Tornadoes will return to action Monday, Aug. 31, with their next match scheduled for 9:00 a.m. The opponent is yet to be determined.
