EARLVILLE — Earlville Opera House will present The Lightfoot Band on Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. on its historic Main Stage. Featuring original band members of the late Gordon Lightfoot, the group will perform “The Songs of Gordon Lightfoot.” These are seasoned musicians who collaborated with Lightfoot on his recordings and toured extensively with him in North America and internationally for decades.
The Lightfoot Band includes Rick Haynes on bass, Barry Keane on drums and percussion, Mike Heffernan on keyboards, Andy Mauck on vocals and six- and 12-string rhythm guitars, and Bill Bell on lead guitar, who joined the band in 2026.
Together, they are keeping Lightfoot’s music alive, playing hits such as “Sundown,” “If You Could Read My Mind,” “Carefree Highway,” “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,” “Beautiful,” “Rainy Day People” and “Early Morning Rain,” as well as deeper cuts not heard live for decades.
Band members will also share history and “stories of the road” and will be available to meet audience members after the show in the lobby.
