SHERBURNE— The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves girls’ soccer team hosted Herkimer on Wednesday, where they suffered a 6-2 loss.

S-E had its struggles in the first half, where they could not possess the ball evenly with Herkimer taking control from the beginning. S-E greatly improved in the second half with gaining more possession and opportunities early on offensively but had to work hard defensively against a tough Magicians team.

Kimmy Blanco had a great game with several shots on goal and good ball movement. She scored the first goal for S-E on a direct kick.

Sadie Davis scored in the second half to cut the deficit in half 4-2 off a pass from Phoebe Dickerson, who had a great game herself in ball movement and almost scored on the same possession until she passed it.

Abbie Green made eight saves in goal in the loss.

S-E (2-9) heads to Camden on Friday at 5 p.m.
