Can anyone stop the undefeated Lady Bobcats?

BAINBRIDGE – In yet another statement win, the Bainbridge-Guilford girl’s varsity basketball team clinched it’s 13th victory of the season in blowout fashion as they crushed Deposit 68-23 last Wednesday, Jan. 25.
Abigail Selfridge was the main orchestrator for the Bobcat offense – almost recording a triple-double in the process, finishing with 23 points, 19 rebounds and six assists.
As well as the B-G offense played throughout the contest, their defense was also impenetrable. After holding the Deposit offense to just six points in the first quarter, they allowed none in the second quarter and went into the halftime break with a sizable 32-point lead.
The Bobcats further extended their lead in the third quarter, and were able to close out a comfortable victory in the fourth, winning by an unprecedented 45 points.
Along with Abigail Selfridge, other standout performers for the lady Bobcats included Megan Palmatier, who also had a double-double on the night, notching 15 points along with 12 rebounds, and Kori Thornton, who logged eight points in the victory.
Before this latest win, the Bobcats stood ranked at number five in the New York Sportswriters rankings for Class C schools. They will hope to continue their undefeated streak and move up in the ranks when they travel to face off against Walton on Friday, Jan. 27. Tip-off in that tantalizing matchup is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
