Three charged following a burglary-in-progress complaint over the weekend

NORWICH – Three individuals remain incarcerated at the Chenango County Correctional Facility following a burglary in progress complaint on Saturday July 15.
Members of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Ronsyl Drive and County Rd 33 in the Town of Norwich, where the complainant reported seeing three subjects fleeing a residence and traveling behind neighboring properties.
The three were charged as follows:
•Tiffany M. Vallance, 25, of North Norwich
•Faziem E. Jenkins, 22, of Norwich
•Russell R. Button, 21, of Plymouth
All three defendants were charged with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony and conspiracy in the fifth degree, a class A misdemeanor.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, it is alleged that Jenkins and Vallance unlawfully entered a dwelling while Button acted as a lookout for the pair. Once inside of the residence Jenkins and Vallance attempted to steal property of the owners.
All three defendants were arraigned in the Town of North Norwich Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5000 cash bail.
It should be noted that all crimes described are allegations. Suspects named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
