GREENE- The Oxford/Greene Girls Varsity Bowling team gave Hancock all they could handle on their Friday January 22nd match-up. Girls from Oxford/Greene were all business on Friday afternoon handing Hancock a loss winning 4-1 with a pin count of 2810- 2302.
Oxford/Greene’s Brianna Fowlston fell short in the opening match against Hancock’s Mickayla Norton in three consecutive games by scores of 174-178, 193-216, and 208-167. Oxford/Greene’s girls would then proceed to win four straight matches with Halia Tallet beating her opponent Regan Worzel 138-134, 191-139, and 168-115. Mikayla Trost continued the trend for Oxford/Greene taking the win over Julie Roloson by scores of 138-160, 179-160, and taking the tie-breaking match 224-141.
Kayli Willes proceeded to take down her opponent; Hancock’s Sophie Schaffer by scores of 217-96, 218—74, and 159 – 77. The highlight of the afternoon came between both team’s top competitors and the top pin holder’s for their respective teams; O/G’s Erin Howard and Hancock’s McKenzie Worzel. Howard took two out of the three games winning 225-182, 206- 237, and taking the third game in the set 213-185.
