New York State Police at Norwich seek to identify shoplifter

NORWICH – New York State Police at Norwich are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person pictured in surveillance video. On October 31, shortly after 11 a.m., Troopers were dispatched by Chenango County 911 to a report of a person stealing items from Walmart on NY-12 in the town of Norwich then hiding behind a dumpster to elude employees.
The suspect was wearing camouflage, black shoes, a black backpack and a black baseball cap. The suspect appears to have bright red hair and some natural-colored red-ish facial hair.
