Boys Soccer: Oxford tops OV

OXFORD – In honor of homecoming, the Oxford Blackhawks boys’ soccer team played a Saturday morning game against local Otselic Valley. Oxford came away with a 5-0 shutout victory in the Section III/Section IV crossover game. Both teams started out with back-and-forth movement and rough play.

Oxford notched the first goal of the game on a penalty kick by Sam Hendricks, which got the ball rolling and the Blackhawks motivated. Dawson Viele scored his second varsity goal just five minutes later before Eddie Golden scored on an assist from Gordon Smith within two minutes left of the first half.
