OV boys fall to Cincinnatus

CINCINNATUS –On Friday, the Otselic Valley Vikings boys basketball team traveled to Cincinnatus for a CCL matchup. OV came up short 56-45.

Both teams were off to a slow start before the Red Lions picked up the pace in the second quarter. From there, they amped up play, even with OV trying to catch up. The Vikings were held to nine points in the final eight minutes and couldn't make any adjustments on defense to slow the consistent Red Lions.

Payne Wood stood out for the Vikings as he led the team with 15 points, making eight of 10 free-throws. Owen Davis followed with 14 points, knocking in three three's. Ryley Palmer chipped in six points as Caleb Loomis added five points and six rebounds. Lukas Schieferstein was held to just three free-throws and had seven rebounds. Tommy Kenyon contributed with two points.
