Greene/Oxford bowlers sweep Afton/Harpursville
BAINBRIDGE – On Tuesday, the Afton/Harpursville Crimson Knights bowling team osted Greene/Oxford at Galaxy Bowl, where Greene-Oxford boys and girls took the sweep.
The Greene-Oxford girls were led by Danica Fowlston with a 497 series, including a 171 in her first game. Cassidy Johns finished with a 427 series, with a 155 in her first game. Melana Gregware added a 380 series while Danny Badger rolled a 327 and Lily Baxter with a 320. Brenda Allgaier finished with a 275.
Afton/Harpursville’s Morgan Crosby led the team with a 334 series with a 129 in her second game as Grace Sabol finished with a 253.
The Greene/Oxford boys won by a total score of 2634 to 2222. The boys were led by Aiden Carter and Aiden Roth. Carter rolled a team and all-around best of a 627 with a 246 in his first game and a 204 in his second game. Roth finished with a 584 series, including a 190 in his second game. Arie King bowled a 348 series as Logan Roth had a 346. Harry Grannis finished with a 293 series while Parker Wright had a 161, Bryson Zeck with a 148, and Logan Yaddow with a 128 in the one game they bowled.
Afton/Harpursville’s Nicholas Farnham led the team with a 540 series with a 196 in his final game. Easton Bagg followed with a 504 series, including a 192 in his second game. Braedyn Barton rolled a 464 series as Dominic Westbrook finished with a 376. Gabe Truman and Maxim DiRosa split time on the lanes as Truman rolled two games to finish with a 249 series and DiRosa bowled a 100.
Greene/Oxford hosts UV/GMU/Norwich on Friday at 3:45 p.m. before hosting Sidney on Saturday morning, where they will honor their seniors. Afton/Harpursville is back on the lanes this afternoon against Bainbridge-Guilford.
