EARLVILLE - Earlville Opera House is thrilled to bring Carsie Blanton to its 1892 Main Stage on Friday, June 5 at 7 p.m.
Blanton is a songwriter with hooks, chutzpah, and revolutionary optimism. Inspired by artist-activists including Nina Simone and Woody Guthrie, her catalog exhibits a wide exploration of genre woven together by humor, a fondness for classic melodies, and the spirit of punk rock.

After two decades spent on the road, Blanton has amassed a dedicated fan base and a small menagerie of viral hits (Little Flame, Rich People, Ugly Nasty Commie Bitch). 2026 produces heavy touring and two new releases, beginning with The Red Album Vol. II. on January 16th.

Opening for Blanton is Brittany Ann Tranbaugh, a Pennsylvania songwriter whose work combines Shania-esque hooks with a storytelling prowess reminiscent of John Prine and Lucinda Williams. Since quitting her day job in 2023, she has played over 300 shows including five national tours opening for her mentor and collaborator Carsie Blanton. Accolades include Song of the Year in the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest; 1st place in the 2025 Songwriter Serenade Contes; and a 2026 American Songwriter Magazine holiday song contest win. No Depression magazine named her a “Queer Country Artist to Watch in 2026.” Listeners can expect her debut LP “Lucky Broke Girl”, crowdfunded with the help of over 400 fans and recorded in Philly with her band and producer Nick Krill, to be released in August 2026. Brittany will perform a 45-minute set prior to Carsie.
